Back to Back National League East Champions

Saturday, September 27, 2008 ·

Ground ball up the middle, diving grab by Jimmy Rollins, flips it to Utley, fires it to first, double play. Phillies repeat as National League East Champions and clinch their second straight playoff berth.

A hell of a game. Today, I was at the complex for most of the early day because I went to the Flyers (spectrum game) which I will discuss later. I got home right before the Phillie started scoring and only a few hours later, the celebrating began.

I'm not going to give a recap on the game. You know what happened. You watched what happened.

Brett Myers has just guanteed that the Phillies will not go 3 and out.

Anyway, I want to say something. Sometimes I do get negative. I will voice some knee-jerking remarks, but overall, I love the team. They have great chemistry and everyone seems to know their role. Sometimes shit happens when people are placed out of their role, but that is not necessarily their fault. I live and die with this team more than any other Philadelphia team. I don't know why, but it has always been Phillies first for me.

The Phillies have won 90 wins for the first time since 1993 and we all know what happened then. I will see you guys there on Wednesday and I will be screaming my lungs out.

Let's go Phillies!

A small introduction...

We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.

My name is Justin Evans and I hope you enjoy the site.
