The Philadelphia Eagles will celebrate Duce Staley's retirement as an Eagle during halftime of the Eagles-Giants game this Sunday.

Drafted by the Eagles in 1997, Staley compiled numbers ranking him third in career rushing yards and fourth all-time in regular season games played among running backs with 98. Staley amassed 4,807 career rushing yards, 22 career touchdowns on the ground, ranking him eighth on the all-time list for Eagles running backs, and posted a 4.0 career rushing average, tying him for 10th overall.

At halftime, Staley will be escorted onto the field by former teammates for his retirement celebration featuring a brief ceremony and two highlight videos.

A small introduction...

We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.
