Wachovia Center Tenants Share Win Column

Last night, the Flyers beat the Florida Panthers 3-2 after Simon Gagne scored the lone goal in the shoot-out. Jeff Carter and Gagne also netted goals in regulation as the Flyers had a 2-0 lead. Looks like the shoot-out drills might be working for the Flyers. Antero Niittymaki stopped all three shots in the shoot-out. I'm pretty sure we need to just put in Niittymaki for all games that reach the shoot-out. Jeff Carter's goal was his league-leading 30th of the season. The win stopped a two-game losing streak for the Flyers.

The 76ers put together an impressive win including three buzzer-beaters to pace a 109-87 win over the San Antonio Spurs who used a buzzer-beater a few weeks ago to edge the Sixers. Thaddeus Young shot 11-15 for 27 points to lead the Sixers. The 76ers have six straight and they're still without Elton Brand. Some feel Brand was part of the reason why the Sixers struggle. I, on the other hand, feel that Brand's return to the lineup will only increase their success. Elton Brand will come off the bench until he works up the stamina to play an entire game.

A small introduction...

We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.

My name is Justin Evans and I hope you enjoy the site.
