Westbrook to play; Gaither, Smith Benched

This is what I just received via a text message from Philly.com:

Brian Westbrook will play for the Eagles. Omar Gaither has been benched in favor of Akeem Jordan.

I am shocked to see the first player being held accountable is someone from the defense? Really? Bench the wide receivers who drop passes. Bench the offensive lineman who cannot block. Bench your quarterback who is inaccurate and is terrible with clock management.

The only positive thing from the benching is that it was likely done because Jim Johnson made the decision and he is the one coach who actually knows what he is doing.

24-10 Ravens.
