Both of Ed Snider's teams, the Flyers and Sixers, have found the win column often lately. The Flyers are winners of four straight and they will host the Dallas Stars tonight at the Wachovia Center. Flyers forward Jeff Carter is 2nd in the league with 14 goals scored and Simon Gagne is tied for 5th with 25 points.
Also, Marty Biron and Antero Niittymaki have given the Flyers much better efforts between the pipes to help take the pressure off banged up and young blue line. A win tonight would really put them back into contention for the Atlantic division. Let's hope they make it 5! The game can be seen on CSN.
The 76ers are winners of 5 of their last 6 to move them into a tie for 2nd place in the Atlantic Division. Outside of a bad loss to Minnesota, their defense has really stepped it up as of late. Last night, they beat Golden State behind a double-double from Elton Brand and 16 rebounds by Dalembert. Brand started a little slow, but he has really picked his game up of late along with the rest of the Sixers. They were also able to win without scoring any fastbreak points, which means they were finally able to play some half-court offense.
Tonight, the Sixers will face off against the Bobcats in Charlotte. That game can be seen on CN8.
