Chase Utley wins Silver Slugger Award

As the best 2nd baseman of the National League, Chase Utley was the only Phillie this year to take the coveted hiting award. Utley batted .292 and a .535 slugging percentage with 33 homers, 104 RBIs, 177 hits and 113 runs. He also hit 41 doubles.

This is Utley's 3rd straight Silver Slugger award. Last year, he won the award with Jimmy Rollins. Ryan Howard was beaten out by Albert Pujols for first base and Pat Burrell didn't get any recognition in the outfield.
