After just returning from an injury and scoring a goal in each of his two games back, Daniel Briere is out again. He will miss 5-7 days with a slight left groin strain. He was injured during the second period of the Islanders game and never returned for the third.

Without Briere again, it'll be interesting to see what John Stevens will do with the lineups. It is likely that Metropolit will center Gagne and Knuble again. We'll see where Hartnell plays after he was in Stevens' dog house on Tuesday.
There is some good news. D-man Ossi Vaananen may possibly return for tomorrow night's game against the Penguins.
