The Giants beat the Phillies 8-2.
The Phillies got off to a good start as Ryan Howard homered for the 7th time this year in the second inning. But that lead quickly diminished as Jaimie Moyer got rocked in his start. Moyer gave up two runs in the 2nd and then gave up three in the third. He gave up six runs total.
Aaron Rowand and Randy Winn each homered for the Giants.
Tim Lincecum pitched a stellar game versus Philadelphia, who only managed 4 hits. Both of Lincecum's runs were given up by solo homers by Howard and Chris Coste.
Notable Phils:
Howard: 1-4 with 1 run, 1 RBI, HR
Coste: 1-3 with 1 run, 1 RBI, HR
Madson: 1 IP; 2 K

A small introduction...
We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.
My name is Justin Evans and I hope you enjoy the site.
