After jumping out out a 3-0, in and out of rain delays, the Phillies lost 6-5 after surrending 6 unanswered runs at one point. The Blue Jays put up 3 spots in both the 5th and 6th innings and rode the bullpen (included ace Roy Halladay) the rest of the game.
Ryan Howard gave the Phillies a 2-0 lead before the first rain delay with a 2-run home run, his 10th, but the delay cost the Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick. Carlos Ruiz would later add an RBI-single, but the bullpen could not hold it. Chad Durbin pitched well for 3.2 innings until he allowed a 3-run home run to Lyle Overbay in the 5th. Rudy Seanez allowed 3 earned on 3 hits and 1 walk in the 6th. Seanez got the loss.
The offense continued to struggle with runners on base, leaving 11. Pat Burrell hit his 10th home run of the season in the bottom of the ninth. Chase Utley added an RBI-single. Ryan Howard went 2-4 with a walk and continues to heat up with the warmer weather.
