The Phillies bats weren't exactly fireworks again, but they took advantage of 8 walks by Greg Reynolds and used their power stroke to complete the season sweep of the Rockies with a 6-1 win. Chase Utley hit a 3-run home run in the 5th inning and Geoff Jenkins later followed with a 2-run home run as well. (Highlights after the jump)
Adam Eaton pitched well again for the Phillies with his 6th quality start and earned his 1st win of the year. Eaton pitched 6 strong innings, giving up 1 earned on 4 hits and only 1 walk. Except for the third inning, Eaton stayed out of trouble on way to his best start of the year. Keep in mind, Eaton had a very good May last year, but it was the summer month when he exploded.
The Phillies scored in the first when Geoff Jenkins was walked with the bases loaded to bring home Shane Victorino. Shane Victorino extended his hitting streak to 10 games.
Chase Utley's home run was his 17th in the year and he upped his RBI total to 46. Jenkins hit his 4th home run of the year and now has 14 RBIs.
