Jon Lester of the Boston Red Sox no-hit the Kansas City Royals tonight. I know that this is not Philadelphia sports, but it is historic and worthy of noting.
Lester through 130 pitches during his no-hitter while striking out 9 and only walking 2. Lester's no hitter since his teammate Clay Bucholz threw one last season.
The Phillies have not thrown a no-hitter since Kevin Millwood on April 27, 2003. If any Phillie is going throw one anytime soon, it'll likely be tomorrow's starter, Cole Hamels.
