Congratulations, the 76ers have clinched a playoff berth and currently they hold the fifth seed in the playoffs. Last night, the 76ers beat the Atlanta Hawks 109-104 behind a 30 point, 10 assist effort from Andre Iguodala. The 76ers battled the 8th-seed Atlanta Hawks for much of the game, but Andre Iguodala was huge down the stretch. The 76ers, now winner of 21 of 28, host the Hawks tonight and the Sixers are 13-2 in the second game of back-to-backs.
The 76ers cannot give up, however, because currently they hold the opportunity to play the Cleveland Cavaliers, a team they match up well against. If they fall to the 6th-8th seeds, they will have to play Orlando, Detroit, or Boston respectively. Much needs to be said about the effort these guys have put in over the last two months. The last time the Sixers were in Atlanta they were 18-30. Since then, the Sixers have gone 21-7. That is absolutely phenomenal and there are many whispers around the league that teams do not want to play the Sixers in a 7 game series. Their fast-break ability could really wear down some teams and the Sixers, yes the Sixers have enough depth where they would be able to overcome it.
