Flyers Win 3-2

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 ·

Another game, more questionable calls; however, the Flyers defeated the Canadiens 3-2 in front of a packed Wachovia crowd. After a scoreless first period, the Flyers exploded in the third for 3 goals from Scottie Upshall, Mike Richards (SH), and R.J. Umberger. The Flyers now lead the series 2-1 and the teams will be back in action on Thursday.

Marty Biron was tremendous as he made 32 saves and many of them great. The Flyers were out shot 34-14 and they will have to attack more if they want to win the series. They cannot continue to sit back and watch Marty Biron try to bail them out.

The Canadiens came back late in the third after Derian Hatcher committed a boarding penalty. It was a penalty, but Hatcher was given a major and a misconduct penalty. The Canadiens scored 2 goals in the power-play, and nearly tied it many times.

Mike Knuble might be back for Game 4, but is more likely that he'll see game 5 action.

A small introduction...

We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.

My name is Justin Evans and I hope you enjoy the site.
