On Daily News Live, Garry Cobb reported that the Eagles did go after Randy Moss and their offer did indeed top the Patriots offer.
There are no specifics about the Eagles offer, but the fact that the Eagles did go after Moss speaks volumes. Has something finally clicked inside the front office? I mean lets face it, in the past they prided themselves off beating the salary cap, but they never would use the money to add any high-priced free agents.
If they don't nab that top wide receiver this year through a trade involving Lito Sheppard, I'd expect them to make a run at Roy Williams next year who has said he will test the market, though I am sure that the Lions will try and franchise tag him.
