Villanova was Robbed

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 ·

Last night, Villanova was absolutely robbed on such a bullshit call by veteran official John Cahill to give Georgetown the win. In a game where both teams struggled to make shots, they found themselves knotted at 53 with 30 seconds left. Villanova had the ball and took the clock down. His errant pass was stolen and the official John Cahill called a phantom foul with only one-tenth of a second left. It was such an absolute joke and it was not the first time Nova was robbed this year -- see the N.C. State game.

Normally, I'm not one to blame losses on officials, but it seems over the last few months there have been a lot of questionable or phantom calls that have cost teams games.

A small introduction...

We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.

My name is Justin Evans and I hope you enjoy the site.
