Sixers Beat the Magic

Wednesday, February 27, 2008 ·

The 76ers started the game shooting 15 of 17 to jump out to an early lead and they never looked back. When their shooting started to cool down, their defense started to pick up to give the Sixers a 102-89 victory over the Orlando Magic. Andre Miller and Willie Green led the Sixers with 26 points each. Miller also added 9 assists and 6 rebounds. Willie Green added 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Andre Iguodala added 24 points in 7 assists.

When Andre Miller was on the floor the Sixers were +20 in scoring and what about the kid? When Thaddeus Young was on the court, the Sixers were a +17. Samuel Dalembert and Reggie Evans gave up some rebounds to Dwight Howard, but they only allowed him to score 14 points.

The 76ers have been playing great team basketball and that has led to them winning 10 their last 14, 8 of their last 10, and 7 straight at home. They now currently hold the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference, 1/2 game up on the Nets and 1 1/2 games back of the Wizards for the 6th seed. The Sixers are beginning to get not only hot at the right time, but more consistent from game to game.

A small introduction...

We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.

My name is Justin Evans and I hope you enjoy the site.
