Flyers Lose their 9th in a Row

Friday, February 22, 2008 ·

The Flyers lost their ninth in a row last night. What's to blame? Bad defense, failed clears, few quality scoring chances, suddenly weak powerplay, unlucky bounces, bad officiating, bad coaching. John Stevens game plan has not seemed to work and it looks like most teams are starting to understand the blueprint for beating the Flyers. Recently, the Flyers have a lot of trouble entering the other teams zone. Also, the Flyers have been a lot less aggressive in their own zone recently in terms of their tough play. Hopefully, they rebound soon because currently they are out of the playoffs and sitting in last place.

Also, the leadership question is starting to come into effect. The Flyers have often taken far too many stupid penalties. If Stevens needs to bench a guy for a game to wake him up, he should do so. It is past the point of starting to get ugly.

A small introduction...

We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.

My name is Justin Evans and I hope you enjoy the site.
