Flyers Fall to Capitals

Thursday, February 7, 2008 ·

On Ron Hextall night, the Philadelphia Flyers lost to the Washington Capitals 4-3. The Caps jumped out to a 4-1 lead after the game was tied at 1 entering the third period on goals by Matt Bradley, Viktor Kozlov, and Alexander Ovechkin.

With 10 minutes left in the game, Scott Hartnell scored a goal that was disallowed absolutely no reason. It looked like goaltender interference could have been called, but if that was the case, the call should have been made immediately. There was no penalty on the play and it was very similar to the Penguins goal against us a few games ago. Sami Kapanen and Randy Jones added goals late in the third to cap the scoring.

The Flyers return to action on Saturday when they host the New York Rangers.
