First Place Flyers Shut Out

Friday, February 1, 2008 ·

The Flyers got handled last night on their home ice by the Rangers once again this year. The Rangers have won 10 of their last 11 games in Philadelphia as they shut out Philly 4-0. Nigel Dawes, Petr Prucha, Chris Drury, and Brendan Shannahan all scored for New York. Steve Valiquette recorded 20 saves as he got his first career shut out. Philadelphia again got out shot. It won't be long until this hurts them. Antero Nittymaki got pulled early after allowing 4 goals in 12 shots. He was replaced by Marty Biron who was a perfect 15-15 to finish the game. The Flyers will look to rebound against the Ducks on Saturday. They play at home at 7PM.

NHL.com is nice enough to share this wonderful highlite of game.

A small introduction...

We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.

My name is Justin Evans and I hope you enjoy the site.
