The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 in overtime last night when a Mike Richards' pass went off a sliding Scott Hartnell's skate with 28.5 seconds left. The win put the Flyers all alone at the top of the division still with a game in hand over New Jersey and Pittsburgh (who defeated the Devils last night). Martin Biron stopped 29 of 31 shots to record the win.
Simon Gagne continued the Flyers PP goal streak when he gave the Flyers a 2-1 lead with the extra-man in the third period. They have now scored a power-play goal in 11 straight games and 21 of their last 23.
Flyers Goals: Coburn, Simon Gagne PP (Timonen, Briere), Hartnell (Richards)
Kings Goals: Kopitar (Frolov), Moulson (Visnovsky)
The Flyers host the Rangers Thursday night on Comcast Sportsnet.
