The Sixers have traded forward Kyle Korver to the Utah Jazz for Gordon Giricek and a first-round pick.
Great first move by Stefanski. Though Korver was our top three-point threat, he was extremely overpaid, couldn't play defense and has become expendable with the more athletic play of Rodney Carney and Thaddeus Young recently. The best part of this move is the fact that Gordon Giricek is a free-agent this season, which will give us even more cap room in the offseason.
"We are excited about acquiring a player of Gordan's ability, as well as an additional asset in the form of a first-round draft pick," 76ers general manager Ed Stefanski said. "This move will provide us with increased salary cap flexibility this offseason and also allows us to continue our evaluation and development of the young talent we have on this team."
