Villanova was screwed. The Wildcats fell to the NC State Wolfpack 69-68 after the Old Spice Classic officials called a complete phantom foul on a 3 point attempt. Villanova played terrible, outside of freshman standout Corey Fisher, and still almost won.
Drexel took a share of the Philly Hoop Group Classic as they knocked off Loyala 54-52 to win the Liberty Bracket. They improved to 5-1 on the season. Seton Hall beat Virginia to win the Independence bracket.
