Rollins Injury May be Worse

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 ·

According to Off the Record with Micah Warren, Jimmy Rollins has a broken bone in his ankle.

As you already know, Jimmy Rollins was placed on the DL on August 20th, a move that should have taken place immediately after his injury. It was absolutely stupid for the team to keep him on the bench when you could tell he was struggling to swing.

If it is indeed a broken ankle, Rollins could miss up to 6 weeks and that would be an absolute huge hole the Phillies will have to fill - defensively, on the base-paths, and at the plate. The Phillies are staying mum on the situation, so understand that this is a possibility, but don't believe it until it is official.

A small introduction...

We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.

My name is Justin Evans and I hope you enjoy the site.
