This is good news for the Phllies, whom by no means can continue to ride the bats of Pat Burrell and Chase Utley all year. They really need someone else to step up. Greg Dobbs and Jayson Werth have provided some power, but all fingers are pointing toward the Jolly Man, number 6.
Speaking of Howard, he was given the day off today/benched. The time off helped him out last year and hopefully it does the same this year. He is currently on pace for 236 strike-outs. Jamie Moyer is on the mound today for the Phils.
