Flyers Continue Dominance

Tuesday, April 15, 2008 ·

The Flyers beat the Capitals 6-3 at a rowdy Wachovia Center. Danny Briere had two goals and Michael Richards scored on a penalty shot late in the third period to ice the game. The Flyers now lead the series 2-1.

In a game that officials were heavily involved, the Flyers dominated the neutral zone and took Alexander Ovechkin out of the game. The crowd was amazing from the start and should be even louder on Thursday. The postseason is back in Philadelphia after a one-year hiatus.

The bad news: Kimmo Timonen left the game in the second period with an upper body injury. He was hit into the Captials net and he hit the camera at the bottom back of the net. The severity of his injury are unknown.

A small introduction...

We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.

My name is Justin Evans and I hope you enjoy the site.
