Flyers 20 minutes of play, not enough.

Saturday, April 19, 2008 ·

The Flyers play in the first 40 minutes was just about as bad as watching Mike Millbury, and Pierre McGuire having a discussion about, well...Anything really. It was boring, lethargic and at points downright embarrassing to see. 5 shots on goal against the Capitals in the first 20 minutes is insane.

Nicklas Backstrom scored the first goal on a 5 on 3 power play at 7:31 in the 1st, and Federov at 1:25 in the second. In the third period the Flyers, yes... The Philadelphia Flyers showed up to play out shooting Washington 21-6. 3 straight penalties didn't help much either as Alexander Semin scored on the third powerplay. Hatcher beat Huet 5 hole less than a minute later, but that was it... 40 minutes too late... If the Flyers really think 20 minutes of playing to their capabilities is what it takes, regardless of being up 3 games to 1, and now 3 games to 2, then they are worse of than everyone thinks. Should we win Monday and go on to the next round, 20 minutes of play against Montreal or the Rangers, and the game will be put away immediately. They need to remember what has got them this far in this season and this post season.

A small introduction...

We Hate to Lose began in October 2007. The initial purpose of the website was to provide news updates and commentary on all four major sports teams in Philadelphia. Because of time-constraints, in April of 2009, I decided to post only on my first-love, the Philadelphia Phillies.

My name is Justin Evans and I hope you enjoy the site.
