If you missed the Flyers game today, don't fret. All you missed was another poorly coached, undisciplined, and sloppy hockey game. The Flyers lost again to the Maple Leafs by the score of 3-2. The Maple Leafs scored the game-winning goal on the Power-play after the Flyers killed the first penalty of a 5-on-3 advantage.
“We did battle back, it’s just that third goal is a killer,” said John Stevens. “You have a five-on-three and then you get back to five on four. The five-on-three was for me the critical part, but they ended up getting one in before the end of that and that was the killer.”
The Flyers will play back to back this games again this weekend when they travel to Boston and Pittsburgh for day games. Buffalo did lose tonight, so the Flyers still hold a 4 point lead for the 8th and final playoff spot, and it looks like we'll be playing Montreal or New Jersey.
