After falling behind early 2-0, the Flyers battled back to tie the game at two with goals in each of the first two periods by Upshall and Downie. With the game tied going into the third, the Flyers had complete momentum, and did nothing positive with it. In fact, with a mixture of poor defense and Biron's awful goaltending, the Flyers quickly gave up 3 third period goals to lose, 5-2. Even our two best defensemen, Coburn and Timonen, had a terrible third period.
The Flyers were without Daniel Briere who is out with a shoulder sprain, just another injury to add to the list.
The Flyers are now only one point ahead of the Sabres for the final playoff spot.
