After losing seven straight game, the 76ers finally won through comeback fashion against the Houston Rockets. The Rockets led 89-77 with ten minutes left, but the 76ers stormed back to win 111-107. Game high scorer Andre Miller led the Sixers with 26 points and 6 assists. Willie Green, Andre Iguodala, Thaddeus Young, Louis Williams, and Samuel Dalembert all scored in double figures.
Even during their losing streak, Dalembert has been playing some of the best basketball I've ever seen from him. After posting back to back double-doubles and 20 rebound games, Dalembert added 19 points and 6 rebounds to go along with 2 blocks. His stats over the last two months are as follows:
December: 10.6 ppg, 10.8 rpg (3.3 Off rpg), 3.4 bpg.
January: 14.0 ppg, 11.9 rpb (5.4 Off rpg), 2.1 bpg.
First round picks Thaddeus Young and Jason Smith are really starting to come into their own. Neither player will likely become a star, but they should be great role players and a part of the rotation for years to come.
I know that the Sixers do not look like anything special right now, but it definitely looks like they have the right guy behind the scenes in Ed Stefanski.
The Opener: Montgomery, Verlander, Yankees
