Free Agency Really Begins Tomorrow

Major League Baseball free agency begins tomorrow morning at midnight.

The Phillies have been reported to be looking for a fourth outfielder. They are also planning to add another starter, having already added top 'FA' Brett Myers back to the rotation, as well with another bullpen arm or two.

I do not like the fact that we're not even trying to get in the Aaron Rowand mix. They are justifying not signing a quality outfielder or third baseman because they are adding pitching. Frankly, they have not improved the bullpen that much either. They re-signed a player and virtually just replaced Myers with Lidge. The Phillies have a lot left that they need to do. Especially by adding an everyday right handed bat to the lineup. The offense carried the team last year. If they lose Rowand they absolutely have to replace his bat. Werth is not the answer.
